Mechanical components in the WÜLLHORST system
The platform forms the central load-bearing structure and is rated for 1500, 2000 or 2500 kg depending on the model. On the galvanised 2500 kg model the zinc layer additionally protects against corrosion caused by cleaning agents and salt deposits, while the lightweight 1500 kg platforms are optimised for reduced dead weight in favour of payload. Welded reinforcements, stop bars and wear profiles absorb the daily impacts from loading and unloading and are classic wear points across the model range.
The lift arms are connected to the vehicle frame and the platform via joint pins, bushings and rotary bearings. Play at pins and bushings leads to tilting movements, noise and an uneven lifting motion – a clear sign that replacement is due. In addition, the closing mechanism, hinges and roll-off stops contribute to the overall function. Corrosion at bearing points, worn bushings or elongated bores rank among the typical findings during inspection and should be remedied at an early stage.
