WÜLLHORST Hydraulics – spare parts for the four base models

The hydraulic system of WÜLLHORST tail lifts is designed around a compact range of four base models: 1500 kg in lightweight design, 1500 kg standard, 2000 kg standard and 2500 kg in galvanised version. This clear classification of load capacity classes simplifies the identification of suitable pumps, cylinders and power units. Hydraulic components in the WÜLLHORST system

At the heart of every load class sits an appropriately dimensioned hydraulic power pack: in the 1500 kg lightweight version it is more compact, while the 2000 and 2500 kg models run a stronger pump with a larger oil volume. Wear pattern and service life depend heavily on filter condition, oil quality and operating temperature; under intensive delivery duty, pressure losses, leaking fittings or a weakening pump pressure first become noticeable as longer lift and lowering times.

The lift and closing cylinders within the four models are graded by load capacity and require matching seal kits in piston, rod and wiper configurations. On the control side, directional valves determine the direction of travel, while check and pressure relief valves, together with lowering brake or load-holding valves, keep the platform safely in position. Even small leaks at valve blocks or connections lead to loss of function and should be inspected as a priority during maintenance.

The WÜLLHORST hydraulic range comprises several hundred individual parts across all capacity classes and model years. Key component groups include:

The limitation to four base models with clear 1500, 2000 and 2500 kg classification considerably simplifies hydraulic spare parts selection. Anyone who knows design type, load capacity and version can clearly assign the correct pump, power unit and cylinders. This reduces mix-ups and speeds up repairs in daily workshop operation.
