Bolts with tab – pins with integrated locking for the tail lift
Bolts with tab are joint pins with a welded or bolted locking tab on the head. The tab prevents the pin from migrating or slipping out of the bearing point and replaces the classic split pin or circlip lock. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find bolts with tab in different diameters, lengths and tab shapes, matched to common configurations on the market – as a service-friendly solution for joint points on the tail lift.
Construction and locking principle – pin and tab as a combined assembly
The tab is usually attached to the side of the bolt head and engages in a form-fitting manner on a contact surface or bore on the support. The tab is fixed via an additional screw or pin so that the pin neither rotates nor shifts. Steel versions made of tempered or case-hardening steel with additional galvanising or browning are common. The tab shape follows the geometry of the contact surface and is dimensioned so that the lock holds reliably even under dynamic loads.
