Hydraulic spare parts for PALFINGER PALGATE tail lifts cover the complete heavy-duty lifting hydraulics of the PBS design line – engineered for loads up to 4000 kg. While the MBB Hubfix family is designed for lighter trucks, the PALGATE series operates with significantly larger cross-sections, stronger pump units and correspondingly dimensioned hydraulic cylinders. Hydraulic Components in the PALGATE Heavy-Duty System

At the centre of the PALGATE hydraulics sits the Hydac 24V/2.2KW power pack, which delivers the pump output for loads up to 4000 kg within the PBS design line. Hydraulic pumps, motor brushes and pump seals are exposed to continuous strain from high flow volumes. Typical wear patterns include declining flow rate, longer lift times and pressure drop at the gauge – clear indicators to specifically inspect the central pump unit before a complete failure occurs.

The heavy-duty lift and closing cylinders of the PBS series operate with significantly larger cross-sections and higher displacement volumes than smaller classes. Seal kits, piston rods and rod-end bearings are the classic wear points and are routinely renewed during service. In addition, lowering brake, directional and safety valves together with matching hydraulic hoses ensure controlled handling of heavy-duty movements and protect the system from unwanted pressure spikes under peak loads.

Note on the Hydac 24V/2.2KW Power Pack

The Hydac 24V/2.2KW hydraulic power pack forms the central pump unit of the PALGATE heavy-duty line and clearly differs from smaller 12V units of the light truck class. Motor power, tank volume and pressure connections are matched to the large oil volumes of the heavy-duty cylinders. When replacing or repairing, the correct PBS variant must be selected so that flow rate and lift time match the factory settings.
