Rotary switches – multi-step switching with detent positions for the tail lift
Rotary switches handle the function selection on control panels of tail lifts via a mechanically guided turning movement with defined detent positions. Every step is clearly coded and switches a dedicated circuit, for instance for the modes raise, lower or travel. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find rotary switches as replacement parts for worn or damaged control elements on common control boxes of tail lifts and truck lift gates – a central component for the reliable function selection in daily operation.
Rotary switch: multi-step switching with detent positions
Typical of the rotary switch is the switching mechanism with several fixed positions which are mechanically locked by a tangible detent. A common position symbology follows the scheme 0 / I / II / III, each representing one operating mode or function. The internal coding ensures that only the contact assigned to the position is closed, so that misoperation through the position itself is excluded. Housings made of robust plastic, sealed shaft bearings and common IP protection classes for commercial vehicle control elements protect the rotary switch against moisture, dust and cleaning water at the rear portal.
