CEMA 077 series – rugged Ø30 mm control elements for heavy-duty control panels

The CEMA 077 series is a heavy-duty line of control elements from General Electric / CEMA, made in Italy. It covers joysticks, lever switches and pushbuttons with Ø30 mm metal round operators and front mounting via a knurled ring. Within the CEMA family the series stands for a sturdy all-metal design with IP65 protection, engineered for machine tools, shipbuilding, the steel industry, transport equipment and tail gate control panels. Design and joystick configurations of the 077 line

Characteristic for the 077 series is the Ø30 mm metal operator, fixed in the panel from the front via a knurled ring. The closed housing reaches IP65 protection and withstands the demands of harsh heavy-duty environments. The joystick variants of the series cover 2 positions, 4 positions and 2+2 and 4+4 positions, each with a central neutral position. Both fixed (latching) and transient (spring-return) versions are available. A typical example is 077MT1234S22HD – a 4-position joystick with spring return and a contact configuration of 2 NO + 2 NC.

Modular contact blocks and selection criteria

Behind the operator, modular contact blocks are stacked via a screw-on system. The possible configurations range from 2 NO + 2 NC (2NC+2NO) up to 8 NO + 8 NC (8NC+8NO) and can be adapted to the respective switching logic. Correct selection depends on the operator type (joystick, lever switch, pushbutton), the number of positions, the desired switching behaviour – latching or spring-return – as well as the number and assignment of contact blocks. International certifications support the use of the series in industrial and mobile control systems.
