Electrical Components in the BÄR CARGOLIFT System
In the high-current path of the BC electrics, main relays and solenoid switches form the link between the vehicle battery and the hydraulic power pack. They switch starting currents in the three-digit ampere range and operate under vibration, temperature changes and splash water. Wear occurs here primarily on the contacts through arcing and oxidation, which is why a sticking start or delayed power pack response is almost always an indication of an imminent replacement of these switching elements.
In the low-current path, operating elements, limit switches and the associated wiring dominate the operating behaviour. Hand pendant switches and radio remotes deliver the commands, limit switches monitor platform positions and feed into the control logic of the VanLift FreeAccess architecture. Corrosion on connectors, chafing in wiring harnesses and contaminated switch contacts are among the most common causes of failure, which can be resolved by the targeted replacement of individual components.
The BÄR CARGOLIFT electrical range comprises several hundred individual parts across all capacity classes and model years. Key component groups include:
- Main relays, solenoid switches and control relays
- NightGuide LED modules for platform lighting
- Hand pendant switches, radio remotes and foot switches
- Limit switches, fuses and junction boxes
In addition, we supply wiring harnesses, plugs and connectors, fuses, control elements, warning lights and numerous further components for diagnostics, repair and modernisation.
