Fuses & Accessories for Trucks and Commercial Vehicles – spare parts for reliable vehicle electrics
Electrical fuses are the invisible protective guardians of the vehicle electrics in every truck and commercial vehicle: they interrupt the circuit on overload or short circuit, protecting cables, control units, lighting and sensitive electronics from irreparable damage. On vehicles with a tail gate where the control electronics and the hydraulic pump switch high electrical currents, correctly dimensioned fuses and associated accessories are of decisive importance for operational safety. SULEJ Ladebordwand supplies fuses and accessories as spare parts for trucks and commercial vehicles – matching all common fuse types and circuits in the vehicle.
Fuse types in trucks and commercial vehicles: types, standards and applications
Blade fuses (standard automotive fuses): The most common fuse type in modern trucks and commercial vehicles. Available in mini, standard and maxi versions (ATO/ATC standard). Colour-coded by amperage for quick identification. Inserted in fuse boxes and holders.
Ceramic fuses and glass tube fuses: Older designs still common in classic vehicles, trailers and certain control circuits. Ceramic versions for higher breaking currents and AC applications.
High-current fuses (bolt-type fuses): For main circuits, starters, alternators and tail gate controls with high continuous current. Typical amperage ratings: 60 A to 500 A. Mounted in the main circuit close to the battery.
Fuse holders, fuse boxes and distribution boxes: Accessories for safe installation and easy maintenance of fuses. Protection classes IP54 or IP67 for use in damp and contaminated vehicle areas.
Fuse accessories: circuit breakers, relay combinations and test equipment
In addition to fuses, circuit breakers (resettable fuses) offer the advantage of being reswitchable without replacing parts – after the fault has been cleared, they can be reset manually. Relay and fuse combinations simplify circuit design and reduce wiring effort. Fuse testers (12 V test lamps or LED testers) allow quick diagnosis of defective fuses without removal. All accessories are designed for the requirements of the 12 V and 24 V on-board network of trucks and commercial vehicles.
