Valve cartridges – cartridge valves for modular valve blocks
Valve cartridges, often called cartridge valves, are compact switching elements that are screwed directly into the cavities of a valve block. They take over functions such as pressure relief, flow regulation or directional control in a modular design. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find valve cartridges in different flow classes, connection threads and function variants, matched to the installed component and available in various sizes and connection variants – a service-friendly solution for targeted repairs on the valve block.
Cartridge design and modular cavity – the principle behind it
The cartridge construction combines seat, piston, springs and seals in a cylindrical housing that is screwed into a standardised cavity in the valve block. This allows a single function to be replaced without dismantling the complete valve block. Standardised cavity dimensions enable different functions to be used in the same cavity – from check valves and throttles to pilot-operated solenoid valves. External seal rings safely separate the individual control channels and prevent uncontrolled pressure build-up.
