Pressure relief valves – protection against overpressure in the hydraulic system
Pressure relief valves reliably protect the hydraulic system of a tail lift against impermissibly high pressure. They open a defined cross-section as soon as the set threshold is exceeded and route the fluid pressureless back into the tank. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find pressure relief valves in adjustable and fixed-set designs, matched to the installed component and available in various sizes and connection variants – a safety element within the hydraulic circuit.
Direct-acting or pilot-operated – designs and application areas
Direct-acting versions work with a spring and a poppet seat and react quickly to short pressure peaks. Pilot-operated designs use a small pilot circuit, regulate the main pressure significantly more precisely and are suitable for larger flow rates. Adjustable variants are sealed with a locking screw, while fixed-set variants come from the factory with a defined cracking pressure. Housing and seat are typically made of steel with a hardened poppet – designed for high load-cycle counts without visible wear.
