Edge protection profiles – profile strips for the platform edge
Edge protection profiles are the continuous profile strips that enclose the lateral and front platform edge of a tail lift. They form the transition between the platform sheet and the safety elements, protect the cut edge from damage and give the platform edge a continuous, straight line. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find edge protection profiles in different shapes, lengths and materials, matched to common platform configurations on the market – as a wearing and protective part for the tail lift.
Profile shapes and joining technology – bolted, welded and clamping profiles
L, U and Z profiles are used depending on the platform design, as well as special clamping strips for pushing onto the platform edge. The strips are joined via screws, spot welds or rivets. In terms of material, extruded aluminium profiles and galvanised steel with powder coating dominate. The upper edge is often provided with a reflective marking or a slip-resistant structure. The profile height depends on the platform thickness, the length is cut precisely to the platform width.
