Mechanical Components in the PALGATE Heavy-Duty System
The load-bearing elements of the PALGATE mechanics are the heavy-duty platforms as well as the lift arms and frames of the PBS kinematics, dimensioned for capacities up to 4000 kg. Steel structure, welds and pivot points withstand the harsh heavy-duty service over long lifetimes, while wear strips, approach rollers and the closing mechanism account for the scheduled service workload. Regular visual checks of the load-bearing structure reveal traces of corrosion or incipient cracks before they affect platform stability during daily loading and unloading.
Inside the kinematics, heavy-duty bolts and precisely matched bushings absorb the leverage forces of the 4000 kg payload. Pivot bearings, bearing shells and retaining rings complete the connection between lift arm, frame and platform. Classic wear points are worn-out bearing seats, play in the pin housing and insufficient lubrication at the grease nipples. Regular greasing and the targeted replacement of worn bolt-and-bushing sets noticeably extend the service life of the lift kinematics.
The PALFINGER PALGATE mechanical range comprises several hundred individual parts across all capacity classes and model years. Key component groups include:
- Heavy-duty bolts and bushings for loads up to 4000 kg
- Lift arms and lift frames of the PALGATE kinematics
- Pivot bearings, bearing shells and retaining rings
- Platform components, closing mechanism and grease nipples
In addition, we supply pins, bushings, bearings, platform components, approach rollers, wear strips and numerous further components for maintenance, repair and general overhaul.
