Control labels – labelling and symbol plates on the control box

Control labels identify the key functions, rotary switch positions and safety symbols on the control box of the tail lift. They ensure a quick, clear assignment of operating functions and are to be regarded as wear parts due to weather, cleaning and sunlight exposure. Materials and printing processes – aluminium, plastic and foils

Control labels are manufactured from anodised aluminium, impact-resistant plastic or as self-adhesive foil labels. The labelling is done via laser engraving, screen printing or UV-resistant digital printing – each designed for fade resistance and chemical resistance. Symbols for lifting, lowering, folding, emergency stop and key switch follow common conventions so that trained operators intuitively recognise the key assignment. Bolt patterns and outer dimensions are based on the installed control box.

Selection criteria and installation notes

When replacing, the exact outer dimensions, the bolt pattern and the symbol assignment to the installed switch panel are decisive. Self-adhesive foil labels require a grease and dust-free surface preparation, ideally with cleaning alcohol. With riveted or screwed metal labels, pay attention to suitable fastening material and provide corrosion protection at the contact points. An additional protective foil can noticeably extend the service life of the symbol display.
