Filler pieces for roll stops – gap closure at the platform edge
Filler pieces close the design-related gaps between the roll stop flaps and the platform edge of a tail lift. They prevent small castors, wheels or cargo from slipping through open gaps and complement the safety line along the platform edge into a continuous barrier. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find filler pieces in different widths, heights and connection variants, matched to common roll stop configurations on the market – for a cleanly closed edge contour on tail lift and tail gate.
Geometry and mounting – how filler pieces sit at the platform edge
A filler piece is installed between two adjacent flaps or between a flap and the end section of the platform. It is designed as a compact profile and fixed via bolted joints, spot welds or lateral clamp seats. The shape follows the height of the safety flaps so that the upper edge forms a continuous line. Common versions are made of powder-coated steel or aluminium, sometimes with additional galvanising at cut edges. The exact width depends on the flap grid of the respective platform construction, ensuring the gap is reliably bridged.
