The high-current path between the vehicle network and the Hubfix power pack is switched by main relays, solenoid switches and power relays. They carry the inrush current of the pump motor and come in different sizes depending on the load class and Hubfix generation. Burnt contacts, sluggish switching or a missing pump start despite active operation are typical signs of wear in the switching path – often the replacement of a single relay or solenoid switch is enough for full restoration of function.
The operating and signal side comprises hand-cable switches, radio remote controls and foot switches, together with limit switches as well as fuses, terminals and the associated wiring. Operating elements capture the user command, while limit switches report the end positions lift, lower, open and close back to the control unit.
