Inspection logbooks – written records for maintenance and recurring inspection
Inspection logbooks are the written documentation of all recurring inspections, maintenance work and safety-relevant findings on a tail lift. They accompany the unit throughout its entire service life and are updated at every inspection by a qualified person. At SULEJ Ladebordwand you will find inspection logbooks in different versions for common designs on the market – as properly structured forms for legally compliant documentation on trucks and commercial vehicles.
Structure and contents according to DGUV requirements
An inspection logbook usually contains master data of the lifting device, an overview of the inspections performed, log pages for visual, functional and load tests as well as fields for defects, deadlines and the signature of the qualified person. Structure and contents follow the requirements of the DGUV rules and earlier UVV and BGV publications on lifting platforms and tail lifts. Date, operating hours, anomalies and the next inspection deadline are recorded – usually with divider sheets for initial commissioning, annual inspection and special inspection after repairs.
