Receivers – radio receiver module on the vehicle

Radio receivers are the modules permanently mounted on the vehicle that accept the control signal from the hand transmitter and pass it on to the control electronics of the tail lift. They are typically located in the protected area near the control box and are wired via multi-pin connectors. Design and coding – antenna, decoder and relay stage

A receiver typically consists of antenna, RF input stage, decoder circuit and potential-free relay or semiconductor outputs that directly switch the tail lift functions. The digital coding ensures that only the respective paired hand transmitter triggers commands and that foreign signals are rejected. Designs differ in protection class, frequency band, number of channels and connectors. Receivers are often built into plastic housings with O-ring sealing against dust and spray water.

Pairing procedure and diagnostics in case of fault

After replacing a receiver, the associated hand transmitter is newly paired via a defined teach-in procedure – the exact key sequence depends on the design. In case of fault, the first step is to check power supply, plug contacts and antenna connection, then the LED status indicator on the module. With loss of range it is worth checking for corrosion at the antenna base and at the installation position – metallic shielding directly on the housing noticeably reduces range.
