Connectors, terminals and fuse accessories in detail

Connector counterparts include socket strips, plug housings and pre-assembled conductor sets for direct plug-on installation on the control board. Screw and spring-cage terminals make it easier to connect load and control lines with little tooling. Fuse holders are manufactured for glass, blade and ceramic fuse inserts – the holder itself carries the contact springs, the insert is separately available as a wear part. Spacer bolts and standoffs mechanically secure the board in the housing.

Selection criteria and connection inspection

When selecting, pin count and pitch of the connectors, current carrying capacity and connection cross section of the terminals as well as the rated current values of the fuse components are decisive. When replacing a fuse, the fuse holder should always be checked for contact pressure and corrosion – a loose holder quickly leads to heat damage on the board. Jumper bridges allow functional configuration of the control without intervention in the hardware.
